Awareness Week Volunteering Opportunity

Hi all!

Next week is AWARENESS WEEK!  Oct 18th-Oct 21st we will be holding different events as we table all of next week!!!  Monday through Thursday we will be tabling from 10-2 and we need your help!!!

This is what the schedule will look like:

Monday Oct 18th:  PAKISTAN CULTURE DAY
              we will be displaying clothing/jewelry/decor
              Hosting Pakistani culture trivia game with prizes
Tueday, Oct 19th:   JAI HO FLASHMOB
              Flashmob on West Mall at 12 and again at 12:15!
              During flashmob, volunteers who do not want to dance can help us pass out flyers and hold poster
Wednesday Oct 20th:  BAKE SALE
               Selling home-made brownies, cookies, cupcakes, cake
               Displaying posters with flood facts
Thursday Oct 21st:  SAMOSA SALES and HENNA DESIGNS
                We will be selling samosas and giving out henna tattoos to passing students


We need volunteers to help us:
--table Monday through Thursday
--let us borrow desi clothing/jewelry/decor/karam board for us to display

hey,

so , what are we doing to display things? I have kurtas and stuff like jewlery i can bring. Also, I was thinking of making tiny prints of photos just to hand out to people of villagers doing crafts and making items..but we'll have to ensure no plaigarism. I can ask my friends.. this is short notice, if you like the idea: we can do it.

Also , I can bring my tablas and we can display them on Monday if you'd care ..

If you need ajraks for the tables, I have some which I can give you along with the donation boxes, maybe when you and Mashal meet I can catch up with you and give those things? I am guessing it will be earlyish on Monday morning? Just give me a call or something. :0)
