Hi,

I am using fighting-layout-bugs-0.5-jar-with-dependencies.jar  to catch the layout issues. However it was not able to catch the layout bug as seen in the attached image…

Also I found that when I run the code for the same page on different test environments, on one environment,  I get 3 layout bugs, on other I get 4 and on one I do not get any issue.

The error that I get is

Detected visible <img> element with invalid src attribute "https://www.psn-itest3.inf.ncs.com/images/SuccessTracker_logo_sm.png" -- HTTP GET failed: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target

Can you please help ?

Hi,

regarding the invalid src attributes -- the error message looks to me like there is an SSL certifcate problem in your setup.

And the not detected layout bug in your attached screenshot is an unfortunate miss, because the edge detector does not detect an edge -- it currently can only detect vertical and horitzontal edges which have a certain color contrast.

Nevertheless, it would be very nivce, if you could send we the web page (with HTML and CSS files in a zip archive).
Maybe I can improve the bug detector using some DOM inspection ...

Kind regards, Michael
