Mary Mary, me too... i was hard sold by their treatment and signed up their packaged after long winded persuading... feel myself stupid and cheated!! after thinking over.. i don't believe their treatment can show good result after 5 or 10 times since the whole session is only 'gelling', 'wrapping' and then 'roating' only take 30-40mins... it's not worth it... and somemore i was told that they will not refund if the result not at satisfactory... and they will will ask you to sign a continued package to earn our $$.. to avoid such incident, i prefer to terminate it too without using starting their package. please share ur experience too... i sincerely request for help!!

I just found your group discussion. You are referring to Dorra Slimming Center right? I've been searching for this group for quite sometimes. FYI, I have bad experience with Dorra. I spend 10K for them. I file the case to tribunal on March, and i won that case but unluckily they dont want to pay me and take this case to High Court. 28th Nov will be the hearing date of that case. Im so nervous..i really hope that I can win that case since they have drag it for quite sometimes..Maybe you all can join me to prove that Dorra is cheating...

And it would be quite costly to engage lawyer to fight in subordinate court.

you wont need a lawyer to fight in the subordinate court, u can represent yourself first. if it doesnt work, then engage a lawyer.

Hi Andrea and ladies , my aunt also a victim and now she is in depression, she signed up more than 10k worth of packages, worst of all with credit cards(Mother of all bankruptcy). Hi, I just signed up with Dorra Slimming at Wdlds Civics Centre yesterday... and after reading and did the researching, i totally wanted to cancel and wanted a refund from them. I have not used any single session yet but only do the trial session. I owned a debit card but they "persuade" me to apply the credit card to do their installment, but charge a lump sum to my debit card which they will return once i got my credit card. But thank god, i did not signed up any credit card thru them. So, how to do the refund?

Hi, I just came across this forum. I too have encounter this problem. Been to a few of their sessions but no results AT ALL! My "Professional Consultant" blame it on my eating diet but the booklet that I have to keep a record for them has always been good. How can she blame it on me? I just signed up with Dorra Slimming with my friend at Mid Valley yesterday.When we walked out the centre we found out what they told us were all lies.We want to do the trial only.they seperated us in 2 different rooms.We are naked on the bed and being brainwash by them for more than 2 hours. My friend and I signed up 10 sessions package by credit card which costs RM2900 each.Now we are regretted. What do you do? My bf help me to call Persatuan Perlindungan Pengguna Malaysia and they said they received a lot of complains already and they will proceed if we give them more details. What is your story? Hi, i have the same experience here. Cant remember when was the exact date i signed up for their package, around Mar 2012? I dont want to mention location here, as i ever comment somewhere about Dorra and the consultant ended up ask me if i was the one wrote the comment (Shit**, they caught me).

My last visit to Dorra was Jul 2012, i didn't finish my session and i really don't feel like going. Not that i want to waste that sum of money or what, but every time i think of Dorra it made me feel stupid, weak, guilt and all. I received their call last week asking me when i want to continue the treatment, so i decided to visit them yesterday (25th Apr). What a relief for me at first that all the consultant in the Dorra branch is now changed. (Previously i signed with Carmen) But my relief was not for long, which i will tell later.

They took my weight and asked me to change my outfit (like always) before session. When i was in the treatment room with the consultant, 2 other consultants joined in. I didn't feel good about this (not that the look of my buttock is something i proud of and for everyone to see), but i managed to keep my nerve. Then they started to make conversation with me tell me how pretty i am (ya..right), I tried to show them that i was not interested, but they kept on blah blah blah on why i didn't come for so long, what i'm doing, where i stay and all (you get what i mean..).

During the session, the other consultant can just anyhow open the door without knocking. I was pissed off i even asked them how comes their consultant can just opened the door like that? The pregnant consultant told me that its ok because they didn't see my face.. (what..?!).. After 15 mins or so with their non stop mumbling on their new products, i asked them politely that if it's OK if they explain to me about the product later after the session as i just want to have a relax and peaceful treatment here?. Guess how they answer me "Oh, our customer like to chit chat with us, that's why we chat with you." (Hell, no.. they just don't know how to ask you to shut up). After that session, i was asked to go Room 3 so i did.

2 consultants joined me in the room 3. The pregnant consultant was "soooo" generous as she willing to upgrade my package with better version of treatment. I was polite enough to tell her no. Before she could tell me on the package price, she asked me if i am credit card or POSB card holder? I asked her why dont we talk straight to the price instead of asking what card i owned? She said some of the bank in SG have so-called promotion with them. (Hm.. OK). She explained that she willing to exchange the treatment session that i still left and combine with the new package that she would like offer me, cost $4400. Again i said No. She said i need to love myself more and need to take care of my body so that i can dress nicely. I said i love myself more than anything. She didnt take No as answer, but continued to explain on how the fat and my buttock will look like in coming years. I was so pissed off that i told her i was regret back then when i signed up the package, i asked her to not wasting time to explain all this nonsense to me. She then asked the other consultant girl to shut the door which was wide open before. She said she is OK if i want to reduce the package session into half and asked me what is my budget. I told her this is not about budget. (Somebody really need to know what is cost and worth means).. Again about 10 mins or so on why i should love myself more, i said i want to go as i have something else to do and i will decide again (NO WAY) when i have done all my current session.

Finally she let me go. (Fuhhhhh).

I really hope if you read this and decided to give Dorra a try, save yourself before its too late. I will try to get refund for my remaining session which she did mentioned about $700 left. Also, if your consultant is Carmen, she is even worst that this pregger, pretty in person but totally nightmare.

So here' s my story, i went to Dorra on 10/06/13 after rejecting them for so long and havent got the time to go down to their centre at Lot 1 (Singapore). And then she is commenting and suggesting the number of treatment that i need. calculating the number of treatment plus booster, plus body shaping gel, 40 sessions of it and guess what's the cost? $18K!! my jaw drop!!!

then she say, ouh ok, it like that 20 session oso can, and its half of the price.. $9K! DUHHHHH! then drop to 10 session for $4500 then final drop to 5 session $2200 and finally one session that cost $450!!! 1 session mind you. LWM have package for housewife and its $500 for 10 bodywrapping session.. and this individual package cost $450!! Blood damn expensive.

so the trying-to-psycho session started during the treatment and i tell you the hammering tool is bloody painful and till now after 3 days from the treatment, my tummy area is soooooo painful. and she still psycho me why never want to sign lah, worth money lah. then i cook up the story saying that, its a joint account and i cannot decide on my own. She is like making me go against my husband, saying she believe i can make my own decision since its my body. SHE IS BLOODY CRAZY! Then on, i am soooo disappointed with dorra. very!

she then do the wrap, get me in the capsule then after finish, bring me back to the consultation room. i am all for the NO thank you. but she do not take no for an answer and do not seems to understand simple english. told her that i got commitments and she do not understand still. and she keep on talking and talking. And finally i told her. Angela, i want to stop at the very last $450. she say she very disappointed in me lah, hello.. do you think money just drop from the sky?! and i no need to pay bills?!! And i think i made her really angry that she need to get out from the room.

She brought in some papers, talk again.. here's the things that u need to do and i will go thru and read with u later. and continue again and i rejected her again, goshhh! and i told her again. NO, i will stop here, then she say, then what happen after that.. saying her company will not lose money lah, and im the one who will regret, rugi lah.. hey whateverlah, if im am multi-millionaire, i surely choose the most expensive treatment, u no need to ask me which treatment i want to take. I can see how her face change, and i was told to read the instruction my self and force me to purchase the dorra essence which cost $150 for 10 tiny bottles. So damages done for the day, $481.50 ($450 treatment + 7% gst, $160.50 ($150 dorra essence + 7%gst) = $642!!! and body pain, emotional abuse.

DO NOT GO TO DORRA, NO MATTER WHAT.

I got a debt of $19K worth of package with them and wanted to ask for a refund as well because they did not disclose the full sum of the packages when they sold me the product. I just filed the case law and going to hearing in mid July 13 but I am afraid I cant get the money if I lose the case. Have any of you discussed with them and get back any money for it?

Hello girls,

Its sad to know that more and more girls have been cheated by Dorra. I was one of the victim too and even after a year i have yet completed my package since they will only continue to nag and promoting their new package for each visit ~ So annoying and irritating!!. Good luck and hope to hear opinions from anyone that succeeded in getting their refund. Keep in touch.

I want to refund my money back too...i spent around 40k and i dont see any improvement. what i dont like the most is they way dorra's consultant keep on forcing me to purchase the program. they will keep on pushing, sometime 2 or 3 consultant will sitting around u and make alot of pushing words. i enroll the bye bye fat on march 2014. and the next visit they ask me to buy essence drink. when there;s no result at all they again ask me to buy another product known as elite drink to flush toxic in my body. end of may 2014 i dont feel like going any more, at the wrapping and heating is torturing. and i can see my skin becoming not even. they later on forcing me again to buy mask to restore my skin elasticity. but after few round of treatment, theres nothing. my skin become "weak" and flabby. I stop going there. Can anyone help me on how to get my money back..at least to the treatment that i have yet to start.

I spent $2K at Dorra and i never go back since, i still have balance of bye bye fat session, but just thinking of their hard selling really turned me off.

I totally had the same bad experience too and i didnt lose any weight at all!!! Now after reading all your comments, makes me felt luckily im not the only one! I will talk to their manager next week to ask for refund next week.

If they refuse, i will need to Lodge complain to consumer tribunal(according to my lawyer friend) and the filling fee is about RM5 only. I will fight to get my money back.My sum is about RM2.8k Even if it's only RM1.00 i would still lodge bcoz this is not only about money, it's about them lying to u & giving u false hope!!! Dont let them run away with ur money and cheat other innocent ppl! For those ppl in msia and had the same experience, msg me & perhaps we could lodge together the complain!

I manage to get only small portion with very2 hard battle with the consultant. I spend nearly 50k. But only go for few session as I don't enjoy the session very much and I don't see much result. The most annoying thing they keep on asking u to add new session. 
Out of 50k, I manage to get 5k after threaten them to lodge report to national consumer. I want to cancel all my session but it seems going to be  a very long process. I have already stop going there..it is a waste of time and money.
They are truly overcharge and we need them to stop them from "caught" more victim.
Any of you can give my the advice on what to do next if I want to cancel my session? I read the T&C behind the receipt tht they gave...which we can cancel the session and get back the money after they deduct what ever session which over. But they are very reluctant and give 1001 excuses.

Hai Ms Mary , yesterday i also go to the Dorra,actually first is for free trying so i go and test, but in the end there talk about lots of promotion, i inform that will get the answer to them, but there still continue to ask for try the package, i no choice how to reject so , i join as member,but after i join member there say why u dont want get a better package since u are member, so i change to new package, i feel that i get lie from them, i want to get back my money,there say payment transcation cannot refund,wat should i do for get back .

Hi everybody! I faced the same issues also!!! Im really felt cheated!! More worse they promise to make the payment installment! But surprisely the consultant just make full payment of rm2k from my credit card! When i ask for refund they did not allow that. So i went tru just 1 session which as far as i remember. Its a free session!
Went back home n i felt cheated!
So i come back to cancel all my package and rather then ask for refund i ask for product! And still i went thru hell process of negotiation and package offering!!! End up! I still need to add rm400 to get 13 boxes of essence drink!

1 session
2 booster
13 boxes of essence drink!
Cost me rm2400!

Before ending the negotiation process the supervisor still asking me to add rm30! To add 1 more box!

I become frustrated because i wanna easy consultation! But what they give me more more more package and ask me to add more money!

The essence drink originally only cost rm270!
Suddenly today! Its become rm360!!

Im really feel cheated n heartache with Dorra!
I agreed to add rm400 because i feel its still worth. And to end the consultation! Furthermore i heard its hard to get refund.

However i want to know if anybody manage to get refund?

Hi Kobe Teoh,

My advise

1. Talk to your consultant, tell her u want to cancel the package. Bring the receipt. Pls read behind the receipt tht stated u can cancel the package and get back your money with some admin fee..like 5 or 2% deduction‎. You read to them the terms and condition. 

2. make report to National consumer complaint. U can do it online.

Dear all,

I have got mine. Provided tht u haven't utilise the program yet. Go see your consultant, bring the receipt tht u have signed. Behind the receipt there rules and regulations which you can cancel the program or package if u wish to. Or else you can report to National consumer. Above all..you must have your receipt.

I was once trying to go towards the consumer association. But does it work or really helps the consumer ? How long it will take? I asked for refund from dorra . But they seems keep throwing the ball here and there. Outlet to HQ.. HQ back to outlet then it goes to legal .. I'm so fedup ! And lastly they offered me another 5 more treatments. I just bear with it. As I do not want anymore mental tortured & time consuming on this issue. =(

Hi All,

I still have $700 balance left, i visited the outlet last week to cancel my package else to convert my remaining balance to product.

The manager kept promoting me with new package (Detox programme) and asked me about my credit card. I told her, i will not top up anymore money, then she tried to switch to another program. I told her about converting to product, she told me all product is comes in set. Hence to get product with $700 is impossible, for the plum drink per box will cost $300 and i need to buy 6 boxes per set. After the 3rd time i told her to stop promoting and remind her how i wont top up anymore money, I really don't see any point in discussing as she is really persuasive. Before the discussion, i teamed up with my friend to call me in 15 minutes if thing didn't go well. My friend called during our discussion and i told her i need to excuse.

The manager said she'd call me the next day to discuss and advise me the best way to settle my remaining balance, however until today there is no phone call at all.

Yea...I feel you. but I am abit lucky as my consultant is a responsible human. She's trying to switch wht ever balance of my program to more effective program. 

And she never promote me to any other upgrading program after I make a lot of comments to their website. 

I manage to get refund 1 of the program and now continue with 3 programs. Yup..when they team up...hard to get away. and the persuasive session is very2 annoying yet u can't get loose.

Signed up w them for a 10+10 session at $3.7k using credit card installment n went for 2 sessions already..i called up to cancel but my consultant,Mia, doesn't allow n say if i wan to cancel she hav to charge me ala carte which is $2k+.. can anyone teach me on the cancellation? Gave CASE a call, they mention if got receipt is good but i lost it, went Dorra to ask for a duplicate but they do not issue. Lucky CASE did mention that Credit Card bill is also feasible as I paid by installment. Hopefully can cancel it..

Tell them you will go to CASE to file a charge against them. And write your experience of how u feel you are being "forced" to take up the package. However the maximum claim for CASE is $10k.

I'm from Malaysia so i think i need to go thru national consumer complaints centre... just realized that they din provide me receipt but i am using credit card to sign up the instalment plan.... they are not sincere in the 1st place so i will go to them again.... Thanks for sharing :)
