Addison is a small, working-class suburb where almost half the population is Latino immigrants, and many are employed in light industry, an important part of the town’s economy. ICE has been appearing frequently in the neighborhoods, intimidating the community.
The Casa DuPage Workers Center has started a campaign to give immigrant communities courage to stand up for themselves. This week, Addison will be the second town where the Casa DuPage Workers Center holds a march for immigrant rights.
