pam, this project you did for your friend is simply stunning! the gods must have been favoring both of you with such fantastic "steals"! i love the bed, bedding, well, just everything. i also have ordered a gray upholstered headboard from WM and it's just waiting for me to gut and re-do my daughter's old bedroom...hopefully soon!

THis is GORGEOUS! Love it all! Especially the new painted media cabinet! One question- it looks as if the view of the tv is blocked by the door configuration. It looks as if the middle door is stationary? Or did you figure out a way to work around that? I would like to do something similar and would appreciate any input :)

Damn girl....I want that room! It is full of goodness....not sure where to start! Moving the bed was brilliant. That TV cabinet and those chests were such a score. I love the addition of the coral color....Pam you did a super fantastic job on this room!!!

I can't believe how perfectly those nightstands fit beside the bed, and I'm SO glad your client trusted you to add the pops of color, they're just right! That "before" room was so ugly, dreary and in desperate need of an "ex-orcism"! I know, because I own it! I am the lucky and blessed friend who received Pam's amazing room makeover. I could not love it more! It is bright and cheery, but at the same time a serene and peaceful retreat. I'm pinching myself and can't believe that it's my room. I can't thank you enough, sweet friend. I am overwhelmed by your kindness, support, and off-the-chart talent. You are simply the best! (Thank you to sweet Erika too!).
I am so impressed. While yes, the space is gorgeous, I'm amazed that you did all this with Walmart, Craigslist..etc. Basically, it is the product of genius designing and styling. The re-arrangement of the bed was so smart, and those nightstands!! Excellent job, bringing design to all..and especially for your sweet friend. Happy she has a sanctuary of her own.
Outrageously jealous of your mad CL scouting skills. First those Drexel campaign chests and then that to die for armoire - which is perfect in that space. Super smart to move the bed! What a transformation a little paint and placement makes! Glad your client trusted your instincts b/c the colors are gorgeous. And don't get me started on that greek key trim on the fur throw. Beautifully done on a budget - major SKILLZ!!!!
I'm blown away by your Craigslist finds. What strokes of luck! Totally inspiring to see another designer's project consist almost entirely of thrifted bargains...that's what my ORC space is about too!
This bedroom is beautiful and tasteful. Love the neutral+coral color combo. And I believe EVERY room needs a touch of leopard. Bravo!

Pam, this is absolutely beautiful! Kudos to you for pulling it off and for doing this for your dear friend! I did my master bedroom last ORC round & came across the same Walmart fabric headboard with nail head trim. You would never know it was Walmart because it's so fab, especially with the fabric and bedding you choose! I love how airy the room feels and those campaign night stand with the lamps, SCORE! I have to say I loved how you transformed the china cabinet and I'm still waiting for the perfect one to show up on Craigslist for me to repaint for my home office! It's been a pleasure participating in ORC with you!

Pam!! You did an AMAZING job! So many beautiful elements that make the room feel as though it was pulled together over time - such a great, 'collected' look. I love the idea of using a china cabinet as a media unit - way better than the usual! And I can't even believe that headboard is from Walmart! Shut. UP! Wonderful job - you have such a great eye!
Of course I am not surprised in the least, but this space you've created is just stunning. I can't even pick a favorite detail, but the transformation of the black cabinet to the white is pretty fabulous! And the gold detail on the closet...love!

LOVE THE NEW DECOR!! I have a question about the upholstered headboards. We just purchased one and I love it but I am not sure if the mattress is suppose to cover some of the fabric on the headboard, I Would like more of it to show but not sure if thats just how its suppose to be or if it should butt up right where the fabric starts from the metal legs? Need Help! thanks!
Hi Terri, If you scroll down to the fifth photo you can get a peek of ours, the mattress is right at the bottom of the fabric. Since mattresses come in different heights that will determine how high it sits. I've used D-Rings attached to the back of a headboard before to hang it directly on the wall at the height I desired. There was some space between the bottom of the headboard and mattress but my pillows covered it up. That might be a solution for you. Good luck!
Question: On the media cabinet, how did you configure the doors to view all of the tv? I'm assuming there is some rigging of the middle panel, so they all move for movie viewing.

Hi Amanda, It is oatmeal, but I recently ordered one for a client and the color was off. Not sure if it was a bad dye lot?? The good news is shipping and returns are free, they will pick up from your location. Another good option is to pick up at your local store, you could check it out and return there if you weren't happy with the color. Good Luck!
