LiveNations.net is born

How many times have you searched for a micronation, only to realise that it no longer exists, or if the website is still alive, that it no longer answers to the real world or micronational community? How many times have you experienced the frustration of trying to find a micronation's email, and since you never received any answer back, you don't know whether it is alive, or dead, whether it is serious, or a total joke? In fact, you don't even know whether the email you've used is right in many cases.

It is pretty discouraging at times, and very irritating in the business of diplomacy. Imagine contacting a small business by phone and either not receiving an answer, or not receiving a call back. Would you call again? Even according to the Montevideo Convention, in order to be considered a state, you must have the capacity to enter into relations with the other states. How do you even start to fulfill that function when you do not even respond to emails out of courtesy?

Nevertheless, I've started a new website which is not another YAMO, and that in fact exists solely to verify whether nations are alive or not. Why bother writing or contacting them if they are not? Time could be spent in a better way, right?

Nations that are members of the LiveNations.net have to provide detailed, no nonsense information about their nation, and must also show evidence that they are still active when they are emailed every 6 months. Nations that do not respond to the emails will be simply taken off LiveNations.net. As our slogan goes: If they are not alive, they are not LiveNations.net!

Any nation, virtual or territorial, Fourth, Fifth, or Sixth World, macronation or micronation, can join the LiveNations.net list. Besides telling the world what nations do respond to emails, and show other kinds of evidence that they are alive and active, LiveNations.net also provides members with a short URL redirect based on the LiveNations.net domain, as well as a similar email redirect, in order to facilitate contacts.

LiveNations.net members can be members of any micronational organisation, or none at all. I welcome every active nation or micronation to join. You will be assisting other active and serious nations to contact you should they need to, as well as increase the overall traffic to your website(s). LiveNations.net simply exists as a point of contact, a node of diplomacy facilitation, and has no other purpose.
