Question: What is the best way / can field3D be used to - generate mesh segments that to be used in open-world game, rendered in Ogre? I am trying to replace PolyVox with something more optimized for large scale rendering and realtime editing.

Hi,

Could you give an example of what operations you need to perform? Field3D has good capabilities for storing both sparse and dense voxel data, but it sounds like you may need some mesh conversion tools as well. Field3D doesn't ship with that - you may want to take a look at OpenVDB's levelset tools.
