Hi,
In the first week of Feb I visited Vijayanagar, Hampi, Karnataka. Though I come from Karnataka and was in Hubli for four years, studying for my Engineering degree , just few hours from Hampi, I had missed a visit to the past glory of Vijayanagar Empire. The visit offered an opportunity to revisit history of Karnataka and add on to my on going comparative study of Temple Architecture of South India.
I also took the opportunity to visit Anegundi, just across the river Tungabhadra from Hampi, the legendary kingdom of Kishkindha from Ramayana.
Here is a link to a short video on Vijayanagar.
