Aswell as the TV series, the manga was inspired by the books The Future Is Wild: A Natural History of the Future and the Japanese version of The Wild World of the Future, both of which were popular in Japan.[1]

The manga features stories set in the Global Ocean and the Rainshadow Desert, two ecoregions which did not appear in the other major The Future Is Wild spinoff, the animated series. It also depicts a number of original animals designed by Takaaki Ogawa, including an eared lizard, mantis shrimp, striped shark, and wide-headed, spiny, spike-backed, and freshwater silverswimmers.

There were some key things I noticed about Marzuq Miftah that made him stand out from anyone else. For one, it was very rare for him to ever do any work outside of school. Everything and anything from major assessments to miscellaneous math worksheets was completed before he got home.

There was no passion in his work; all he wanted was the bare minimum good grade for the assignment. When it came to tests, he naturally scored well with little effort put into studying outside of class.

I really only got that answer this year, but looking back at all our time together, the answer was preparing a slow reveal of itself through various subtle hints. Most obvious of them all was the dedication he put into certain types of projects.

This was an era where you would turn on the television to watch twelve-year-olds fight each other with monsters stored in pocket sized balls or extraterrestrial beings with blonde hair and monkey tails protecting the world from otherworldly threats.

The other demographics include shojo for young girls, seinen for adult men, josei for adult women, and kodomomuke for very young children. Although there are a vast amount of genres and themes in each demographic, there is usually some overlap in the ways that these stories are written and illustrated.

However, these stories often find ways to rewrite the formula, bringing originality into the genre and generally the tropes of shonen manga are admirable regardless. Ideals like working hard to achieve your dreams, doing what your heart desires despite the obstacles, and the power of good friends attract both the intended audience of the medium as well as those far from the demographic.

This was the moment where Marzuq felt that if he did anything in his life, he had to carry out the wishes of his late grandfather by following his ambitions as best as he can so as to live his life to the fullest. With this, Marzuq began taking steps towards making his dreams a concrete reality.

There was one time where he randomly revealed he was admitted to Northeastern University early while we were all awaiting regular decisions. He then explained that he rejected the offer even when a Bronx Science alumnus asked him to reconsider, which was particularly difficult to hear considering that we were all suffering from a slew of rejections.

You are locked in and pressured to do something that you may or may not want to do; there is no place for anything short of commanding respect and bringing success. Art in their eyes does not belong in that category of careers you are allowed to have.

A big problem with trying to pursue art is that it requires a huge time commitment that was just not available to him while he attended Bronx Science. Even though he finished his work as quickly as possible, the workload from school and the commute did not afford him the energy to work on his passions.

His plans are to take advantage of the breaks and more flexible schedule of college in order to devote time towards his art career. Currently, he has committed to working for one of the two publishing firms he got offers at as a line artist. From what he told me, the pay was extremely good for a student fresh out of high school but we could not discuss the specifics.

What he really believes will skyrocket him to success are some of the prolific comic contests, such as the official Webtoon Call to Action Contest and the Jump Tezuka Manga Contest. At the moment, he is preparing for the Webtoon contest as the submission date approaches in approximately two months.

Although he has a story in mind, the nature of the competition might cause him to mold it towards what the previous winners of the contest have done. However, Marzuq does not lament having to give into formula, he sees this as a first step towards being able to have the freedom and security to truly innovate the shonen genre.

He plans to build up his network and notoriety as an artist before he finally starts creating something that he may someday consider his magnum opus. Marzuq is particularly interested in introducing characters and stories from his own background that are not portrayed in an art form heavily dominated by its Japanese influence.

I read the manga only a few months ago, but I can no longer find it. It had a decent amount of chapters already translated to English. While I'm not completely sure, I think the amount was somewhere in the 30s.

The story is about a princess. If I recall correctly, she has two older brothers who were fighting over the right to succeed the throne. To avoid all of that, her father (the king) decided to just make that princess the one to become queen.

I'm not sure for the reasons behind it anymore, but that princess had to form this order of knights to serve her before she could become queen. Where the story was when I read it, she had 2 people in that knight order. I think one of them was called Duke, or something along those lines.

There was also a part I remember where she mentioned having the powers of some swords in her. Like 12 or 13 swords if I remember correctly. She used the power of one of them to save someone from a curse at one point.

Leticia's father, the current king, is very wise and knew that both of his sons have their own supporters and that if either one became king the other brother's supporters would rebel, and the country would have a civil war. So he decided to announce that he will retire while he's still alive and make his daughter, the princess, his successor! However, the princess never expected to be Queen and she really doesn't have any political allies. So she decides to gather a group of knights loyal to her and form her own "round table" before the day of her coronation. The problem is, all of the good knights who are strong and skillful and loyal have already been snatched up by her father and brothers for their own personal guards.

After that the only known thing is that, chapter 42, future!Hachi talks about the night of the fireworks and the way she talks suggests that they never got to meet up for the fireworks - meaning either Nana left by that time or was in some way incapacitated so she could not go to the fireworks.

Unless, of course, Nana did not see the fireworks due to being otherwise incapacitated - with puts the time-frame of a likely event that causes Nana to leave at April to August, and then Nana leaves at a later date.

The only mentioned event we really *know* at this moment that causes Nana to leave is an end of chapter future!Nana thought (apologies I cannot find he exact quote and chapter atm) where Nana says something to the effect that Hachi should not blame herself, that Nana has always been weak.

We do know that Nana left behind many of her favorite things, including her Vivienne Westwood jacket (mostly the one from Mai), her Sex Pistol CDs, and her guitar were left behind. Hachi says Nana left these all behind in chapter 56.

It could be that Nana leaving was premeditated and that one of the few things Nana felt she had to bring with her was this letter or Nana left on impulse and she happened to have the letter with her, likely because she never does not have it with her. I feel that at least one of these must be true, for the letter to still be with Nana in the future chapters.

Unfortunately cannot find the chapter and exact quote, but Hachi does state that one of the 707 keys are missing and that Hachi hopes the key is with Nana that Nana took with her when she went missing. Very likely, the key is with Nana. (In my opinion, one of the most best ways for Nana to return is if she were to return on her own and come back and unlock Room 707 for herself, with her key. but w/e my opinion)

Or, if not in the bathtub, then in the sea which is where the media believes Nana died. Hachi also states thinking about throwing herself in Tama River in chapter 8, had Nana not been there. It would be dramatic irony, given hints here and there that something bad happened with Nana because Hachi was not there, that maybe Nana (attempted) to throw herself in the sea.

One of the coolest aspects of manga are the high concept ideas that set up rules and then let the creators play within those rules. It was one reason why I loved Death Note so much; so color me tickled when I heard about the concept behind Future Diary. Is it another hit series or for that matter: is it good?

The manga has been licensed by Tokyopop, and ten of the English volumes were released, with a release for the last two now uncertain due to Tokyopop ceasing publishing in North America. A "pilot anime" DVD was released with the 11th manga volume in December 2010. A 26-episode anime television series (produced by Asread) aired in Japan between October 2011 and April 2012. Crunchyroll has licensed the anime for distribution in North America. An 11-episode live-action television drama aired between April and June 2012.

Yukiteru Amano (天野雪輝) is a 14-year-old, shy and daydreaming loner who observes life and jots down the events on his cell phone. His only friends are Deus Ex Machina (デウスエクスマキナ), the God of Space and Time, and his assistant Muru Muru (ムルムル). Deus transforms Yukiteru's phone into a Future Diary, capable of predicting the future up to ninety days. Yukiteru discovers he and eleven others are part of a battle royale survival game orchestrated by Deus. The aim of this game is to eliminate the other diary holders, the winner to succeed Deus as god and prevent the Apocalypse. Yukiteru finds himself protected by Yuno Gasai (我妻由乃), a charming but psychopathic classmate who obsessively stalks him after they had promised to go stargazing together a year before.
