CDROM DMA setting in NT4?

Hi

Does anyone have any information on the following...

When looking at the properties of a CD-ROM under NT4 there is no option to
enable/disable the DMA setting as there is under Win95. Is the DMA channel
set by default or is it impossible to use DMA support for a CD-ROM under NT.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
