Printer/LPT2: - How to let DOS program see security device on LPT2: ?

Hi,
I have an MS-DOS program that needs a security device on a printer port so
the software can run.
At a clean MS-DOS 6.20 boot, the software sees the security device on LPT2:
and all is swell - just no NT.
When I run in NT 4.0 WS SP3, I get "security device not found - press ESC"
when I run the same software from a default DOS window and also a "tweaked"
icon that points to the DOS program.

How can I tell NT to let the DOS window and program get at the LPT2: port?

Thanks,

Booting to DOS

You need a driver for the security block, because NT 'protects' the
hardware, e.g. the printer port. If it's an old DOS program it could be
a problem getting a driver.

I have used some Windows programes who run fine on Win95, but need a
driver (called 'sentinel') when running on NT, fortunatly they were
supplied with the programmes, but they should be install seperatly.
Check the install disk/CD to see if a driver exist.
