No joke, you do this: You tell your boss that you will not do things
unless you understand the reason why. Explain to him that this is not
neogtiable. While he will suffer the disadvantage that he will have to spend
some time convincing you of things, he will get the advantage that you will
never do things without a good reason. If he considers that a disadvantage,
then he needs to find another employee.
I have lost two jobs in 20 years because of this attitude. I'm quite
sure I am *much* better off in both cases. The big advantage is that now
people know that if I wrote code, it will not suck and everything will be
done for a logical reason. So *my* reputation is the biggest winner.
You should care about your reputation. In the long run, it's not worth
it to work for idiots. This may or may not be an example of idiocy, but I
wouldn't take the risk.
By the way, you can always use a file and protect it with file locks.
Otherwise, you'd need something ugly like a process-shared mutex.

Тогда понимаешь, что босс вобщем не идиот, просто
идиот его пытаеться убедить, что если скрестить
теплое с мягким можно добиться успеха, при чем
этот идиот не различает где теплое, а где мягкое,
и внятно объяснить критерии успеха не в состоянии,
как и вменяемо сформулировать проблему, которую
надо решить, но решение он уже нашел и оно, если
не лучшее, то как минимум лучше любых других
возможных вариантов адназначна, и этот идиот
занимает должноть на тему около "аналитика". И
понимаешь, что контора в целом вменяемая - просто
она сделала одну ошибка - в HR департаменте.... Но
зато идиот делает с потрясающим упорством работу
которую никто делать не хочет - мастер Excelа... И
поэтому босса грызет, что если идиота не будет -
ему придется это делать самому как раньше.... А
таких идиотов найти сложнее, чем хороших
программистов....
Дилема....
