I've finally figured it out. It's posting eight elements (words, numbers and
punctuation) a line. Punctuation at the ends of lines doesn't appear to
count, and hyphenated words count as only one. It seems to count the decimal
points in floats, but ellipses count as only one element.
Ahhhh, love...
