One thing I notice -- it relates to Bill's notes about mental dualism --
when
I'm playing music I lose the ability to talk -- sometimes it takes a few
minutes before I can talk again. Not when I'm singing, but when we get
engrossed in pure music, the talking part just gets lost. Talking to my
Zen friends, I often feel that meditation is the same kind of thing --
losing
the endless babble, being there fully, no breaks or explanations -- just
you
as one with everything.
'Course when you're singing right, the same thing happens. Hmmm...

Ja, the lights are hot, your head is full up with noise, you are tired and
sore and the people are clapping and you see steam come off your arms and
you are living for that moment of one, the dis in unison.
I had to do a show opening up for weird al yankobitch and we did a song
where I couldnt play the guitar because there were no more links to the
board.
So, I had to freakinn stand there as I had a backup singing job.
