help with codepage on ubuntu

Hello everybody!
Can somebody help me with my issue with latest golded version and very crazy
codepage same as krakozyabra? ;)
I found in golded sources batch-file for running gedlnx under linux with
screen's help which has changed locale only for this session.
But screen just crushed without any screams.
when I start gedlnx without screen I see another symbols instead real
cyrillics.

LANG=ru_RU.KOI8-R luit /usr/bin/gedlnx -Cпуть/к/golded.cfg

thanks, but it not work.
However, when I've launch it, I've seen anotheb behavior of golded. It really
change codepage to koi8-r.
Also, when I start golded without options, I see this

You better show the picture you see when you start golded the way I told you.

0. Make sure you have correct locate in your terminal:
% echo $LANG
ru_RU.UTF-8
1. Run screen:
screen -D -RR
2. Create terminal:
^A c
3. Change encoding:
^A :
encoding koi8-r
4. Run golded:
ssh fido golded

Make sure you have the properly set up locale and the font with iso10646-1
encoding.
