I don't think americans go more in for sports than others. As for fitness and

Fat, fat, he's right, they're fat. What average American mostly does?
Drinks beer, eats doughnuts, sits back watching TV, and drive his car. They
always go by car, anywhere, even two blocks away. More food, less movement.
Fewer russians have cars, so - russians walk more than americans.

Relax, no fascism. Americans just wanted to train their army, to practice, to
spend military budget and to get rid of military supplies in stock to make
newer ones. They don't really care about Milosevic or whosoever, it's just an
excuse, don't you get it? Once they smell a smoke of a minor conflict anywhere
- they're already there, eager to do "peacemaking".

This test consists of one (1) multiple-choice question (so you better
get it right!) Here's a list of the countries that the U.S. has bombed
since the end of World War II, compiled by historian William Blum:

China 1945-46
Korea 1950-53
China 1950-53
Guatemala 1954
Indonesia 1958
Cuba 1959-60
Guatemala 1960
Congo 1964
Peru 1965
Laos 1964-73
Vietnam 1961-73
Cambodia 1969-70
Guatemala 1967-69
Grenada 1983
Libya 1986
El Salvador 1980s
Nicaragua 1980s
Panama 1989
Iraq 1991-99
Sudan 1998
Afghanistan 1998
Yugoslavia 1999

In how many of these instances did a democratic government, respectful
of human rights, occur as a direct result? Choose one of the following:

(a) 0
(b) zero
(c) none

SK>> like drugs or smoking.
MI> You're surely must know that americans mostly quiting smoking for

I just asked an American about the things we discuss here. Here's what he said.
About the smoking - depends on the place. Maybe they quit smoking in California
(where smoking is prohibited by the law in all public places), but there are
still a lot of smokers in NY, Chicago or Texas - the rest of the country.

MI> And alkoholism is russian national problem.

It looks so indeed, but still - americans drink a lot too. As the American
said, you cannot see in America as many drunks in the street as here in Russia,
because americans just avoid to show up drunk in public for the fear being
fined, arrested or they are just ashamed. But they still drink a lot at home or
at the parties.

MI>>> american - sports.

SK>> I don't think americans go more in for sports than others.

MI> Much more than russians.

Perhaps, but it does not seem to do them any good...
So the sports style is just to show off before the neighbours or themselves.
Maybe only a few are persistent enough. It takes pain to workout.

Well, about the Americans being fat - it's just a fact beyond any discussion.
When I asked the American (he's been living in Russia a lot, and can really
compare things here and there), where there are more fat people - in America or
in Russia - he replied instanly, without hesitation: "In America, of course!"
So, evidently - jogging and exercises won't help - they're fat, fat, fat! 8-)

I agree with you. I think Americans are fat because they eat fastfood

it's fattening.
