Hi All, after collecting old nodelists (glad to the others anonymous
or not who keeped, collected and let available these files), with a
sample of one exemplar per year since 1984, this table and graph were
posted in a message in FN_SYSOP as curiosity. Some people liked, :-)
so here is a copy for Fidonews:

Nice graph? As many of you know, things didn't evolve the same way in
all zones and regions. In the average apex of 1996 for example Z1 was
already in decline while Z2 segment in nodelist was still growing.

Also nodes quantitity doesn't have direct relation with real network
activity, integration, reliability or other aspects we can imagine.
Analyse better the data or just think about it is left as exercise to
the reader and, who knows, a future article.
