Hello All!

Залит Thirsty_Moon/(1973)_You'll_Never_Come_Back

Thirsty Moon biography

Much collectible Brain label was somewhat of a specialist in releasing German
progressive Jazz-rock in the early 70's. Among which were RELEASE MUSIC
ORCHESTRA, CORNUCOPIA, EMERGENCY, and THIRSTY MOON. These guys came from Bremen
(south of Hamburg) and their debut was produced by Petersen (ex-IKARUS), giving
them a typical instrumental jazz-rock sound of the era.

Their first three albums are well worth a spin if you are into that type of
music although to my knowledge, their albums have yet to find themselves on an
official CD release.

This is Thirsty Moons second album on famous German label Brain. Originally
released in 1973. Despite the fact, that their first album is accepted as a
classic one, many progressive Rock music lovers appreciate "You'll never come
back" as the the band's best effort. On this album Thirsty Moon developed their
unique sound. No other band has so completely captured the elusive phenomena
inherent in acid-Rock and placed it so effectively in a Jazz-Rock format.
Thirsty Moon's sound is a mirror ball of images surrounding the listener. This
is one of the best albums of that time. Comes with one never released before
bonus track and comprehensive booklet including liner notes by member Jьrgen
Drogies. Digitally remastered from mastertape. You must have it.

Krautrock progressive/fusion band in a similar vein to earlier German bands
like Xhol and Organisation.
Always essentially the project of the Drogies brothers, Thirsty Moon came into
being in September 1971 as the amalgamation of D.R.P. (Drogies Rock Project)
and Shakespears (apparently a jazz-soul band), resulting in a very big group
(seven to eight members) performing complex rock that used unusual jazz
structures as its base.
