It will be a one week of such cold weather. But, the problem is that
the temperature fell down from 0C..+1C to -25C..-35C in one day.
Tomorrow: Moscow: -30C..-37C, Siberia, Ural: -37C..-45C,
Yakutia: -50C..-56C.

Me - not, but my dogs are. Their paws get frostbitten in 20, max. 30
minutes. Perhaps booties would be OK, but I'm afraid that'll be a waste of
money (3x4!)- mine are "natural" dogs, not used to all those funny wrappings.
We'll wait and see. Yesterday the day temp was 28 in our parts, today it's only
26. :)

This is not real abnormal temperature, it is abnormal for the
condition of our energy lines today. During these frosts energy
means life. Thick walls and double windows can't save from cold
on it's own.
And these are really bad times for homeless -- 7 dead in
Moscow because of frosts. :/.

Make it double when you hear, that some people, called
"walruses" or "winter bathers", take a bath in water on a
fresh air. They don't want to change a tradition... +4C in water,
but when they come to fresh air they need some outside energy,
i think some +40C energy drink :).
But, Russia is so big. Sochi (town): +8C...+10C. Palms,
beaches...
