Im buying a PII 350 and getting a jumpless Motherboard(Its easier for
me, as I dont really know how to set jumpers). I saw one brand(forgot
the name) which uses a jumperless motherboard to set bios, but it doesnt
allow me to configure the voltage of the CPUs(it detects this
automaticly). Can I still use this motherboard to overclock?
Im gonna over clock my PII 350 to a 450. Is it safe? What setting(clock
speed and mulitplier) should I use?
What are the problems of overclocking, and how do I test the system to
see if its successfully overclocked(any programs to test)? And how will
I know if my system is not able to withstand the overclocking?
Anyother thing I should know before I go about to do it? I NEVER
overclock any CPUs before so please please give me any advice. It'll be
very helpful to me. Hope I dont burn the system...
One other thing, what is the difference between a DIMM and a PC ram, and
what's 1st party and 3rd party???
Thanks! Please email me if possible, as I dont wanna waste bandwidth on
the newsgroups.
