Hi!

My name is Przemek and I'm from Poland. I'm 21 and studying management at
The Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice (the south of Poland)
I'm thinking about going to the UK next summer holidays to improve my
English.
Although it's a lot of time till next holidays, I'm looking for some
institutions, hotels and any other (cheap) places where I could spend 2-3
weeks.
Do you know anything about such places?
How much are they in the UK?

I would be glad if you could help me and reply to: corn...@darmo.alter.pl
Thanks in advance

Two good starting places to find resources on learning English are:

English as a Second Language <http://www.lang.uiuc.edu/r-li5/esl/>
ESL Cafe <http://www.eslcafe.com/>

Have a look at:
http://bcnet.britcoun.org/english/courses/index.htm

The same website has details of the British Council office in Poland,
who should be able to give you further advice if you need it.

I will let others advise you about improving your English, but you need
to know that staying in hotels in the UK is not generally cheap.
Sometimes you can find pubs that do cheap bed-and-breakfast ( the
cheapest I have found in the last year or so was £14 per night), and the
local Tourist Information office will have a list.

If you want to book before you leave home, the alternative is a Youth
Hostel. Try:

http://www.iyhf.org/
http://www.iyhf.demon.co.uk/
http://www.syha.org.uk/

This third one is for Scotland.

Some of them do get busy in the summer, so act early.
