The News at the Fid
The wonderful summer is over. It was long and warm and beautiful but now the chill and rain have returned. Time to come  back in doors for the smooth dark and flavorful beers of winter. We will also have some amazing events to help you through the rainy days with live music, special barbecue, and of course choice brewer nights. The hops in the Fiddler beer garden were put to good use and we brewed a fresh hop beer with Chainline using the Fid's Cascade hops. The fresh hop tradition is always so exciting. The brewers head to Yakima in September when the hops are being harvested. In 30 days all the hops that are used by the brewers will be down. Hops are normally harvested, dried, and pelletized and in early 2018 the 2017 hops make their way to the breweries. During the month of harvest the brewers head to the farms to pick up their hops. Within 24 hours the hops are used in their fresh hop beers. Some brewers make the trip back and forth to Yakima 3 or 4 times. The fresh hop beers are special and we are lucky to be so close to the Yakima fields where 70% or more of the hops used by US breweries are grown

It is that time again for the annual Hales pumpkin carving Wednesday October 25th at 5pm. Remember we will clean the pumpkins for you and all you have to do is bring your creative energy to the Fid. Special beer from Hales as well. Contest for the weirdest and most creative will be awarded.

Emika keeps booking music twice a month on the second Monday and 4th Monday of the Month. Trivial Dave does his best to confuse and educate you on the last Tuesday of the month. Don't forget Nina's ribs on the 12th of the month and finally Joe Iudice is back with his fantastic acoustic music on Saturday the 28th at 8pm.

Enjoy the fall. And please, come enjoy the Fiddler Beer and food when you can... we would love to see you.
