Hi Tom,

How can I calculate the B-integral of a single roundtrip in an
oscillator
simulation using FiberDesk?

Best regards
Marco

Dear Marco,

the B-Integral is defined as B=gamma * Integral( P_peak(z) dz).

It can be evaluated as follows:
(1) use the option [record measurement] in a single propagation
(2) run the propagation
(3) in the measurement window choose puls.peakpower and copy it to the
clipboard
(4) finally add all values e.g. in Origin or Excel and multiply by dz
and gamma.

To evaluate B during one roundtrip in an oscillator simulation, setup
up all elements, run the simulation until convergence. Then use the
resulting field and propagate through each individual element by
loading it and repeating the procedure given for a single element.
Finally add the B's of each element.

Hope that helped,

Best regards,

Tom
