Hey Folks! Great day here in Topeka!! Today we unveiled a huge Topeka
Loves Google banner in the middle of downtown Topeka to remind our
community that the prize is still out there and we need to remember
the wonderful things that the Google Fiber Project has spurred our
community to do! And remind Google that Topeka..er..Google, KS still
loves them!!! Our local paper the Capitol Journal snapped a great
picture of it here: http://cjonline.com/files/editorial/images/morris/topeka/web/376630_web_new120110google.jpg
We had initially hoped to hang it from our state capitol, or its
rather large crane, but the Kansas wind just didn’t cooperate. Despite
the weather, we had a fantastic turnout with hundreds of citizens
gathering over the lunch hour.

Seems like a copy of the Longmont Loves Google motto. (http://

Payton -

Both logos/mottos are similar, but they are many instances of that
type across the country. We first began using it in February when we
started taking our Topeka Loves Google sign around the community for
people to take their photos with. To-date we've had more than 1,000
photos taken with the sign. You can see some of them here:

Good luck to Longmont - the ariel shot of your sign with all the cars
is cool!

Hello Payton,

I couldn't get the video to play, but the pictures looked like you
guys spelled out google in the parking lot, which looked pretty cool.
We had a 40' x 20' banner to show google and the history channel when
they came to visit.
I hardly say they're the same idea and we certainly didn't copy you :)
best of luck to you guys and everyone else
we have 18 days to find out :)

cheers
-Brandon
