The Washing Machine Care Cleaner cleans thoroughly and reliably and removes lime, dirt and deposits, even in hard-to-reach places within the machine. The formula with Activated Carbon releases and captures residues which are then washed out effectively. In addition, special care components protect the rubber and protect metal parts.

If applied regularly, the drum, pipes, rubber seals and heater will be kept clean and maintained. This not only protects the machine, but also enables an energy-efficient washing and a long service life of the machine.
This is due to the liquid detergent and the fabric softener deposits. These can be found in the inlet between the detergent chamber and drum, whereas both of them have persistent deposits and are difficult to reach. We recommend the repeating the process with Dr. Beckmann Hygiene Cleaner at 95 \u00b0C.
Although it is solid, Activated Carbon has no abrasive effect and does not damage the surfaces of the washing machine, pipes or seals. Due to its light weight there is no risk to build up inside the machine \u2013 it will be drained.

The Service-It Deep Clean for washing machines works in a similar way although without the first two steps. This is a powder rather than a liquid and is poured directly into the drum before running a 60C wash to clean the machine.
The Service-It Deep Clean for dishwashers is also a powder, which is poured into the detergent drawer of the dishwasher, with the excess sprinked on the floor of the dishwasher before running a hot cycle. There is also a wipe included for cleaning around the door seal and the outside of the dishwasher. The wipe removed the built up grime on the door easily and the dishwasher was sparkling after its deep clean.
Limescale build-up can occur in washing machines and dishwashers and can make them less efficient and result in damage to the pipes and elements. The Service-It Power Descaler can be used in either the washing machine or the dishwasher to help remove limescale build-up. There are two sachets of powder in the box. One sachet of powder is enough to clean a dishwasher or a washing machine with a capacity of less than 4.5kg. As my washing machine has a larger capacity than this, I used both sachets which were poured directly into the drum before running a 60C wash.
I have one set of Dr. Beckmann washing machine and dishwasher products to give away to one of my readers. You can enter the competition by filling in the Gleam form below. The competition is open to UK entrants and ends on 7th June 2016 at 11.59PM. Good luck!
I tend do one wash a day so it never gets to much or to big loads as I struggle with drying space. Obviously separate colours and whites and also take note of the temperature on lables, your clothes stay nice a lot longer.
I clean both of mine out all of the time if you think how much dirty stuff is in them! Baby wipes or kitchen roll and a de greaser are just as effective as these expensive products. I also run it with white vinegar from time to time & use lemon juice to make it smell fresher! I once threw a load of fairy liquid in it and had a soap sud bath all over my kitchen! It was clean though ha ha.
When you have a wash that needs done but not enough of one colour or need to mix items and colours add a colour catcher. Once the wash is done leave the colour catcher in with the load in the dryer. Our clothes always come out softer and brighter when I need to mix washes together!

I was going to post on her today asking for help with my washing machine, I used my washing machine the other day and the washing came out really smelly, and the washing machine stinks . I've used soda crystals as online it said they were good, used twice washing machine still stinks help ?
Thanks will try these, inside my washing machine looked really dull I've never seen it like that before. I've just put another hot wash on, the seal around the door is always like a grey sludge I'm always cleaning that it's rank
I spray bleach spray and use an old toothbrush to clean the bit the drawer fits into. A microfibre cloth can also be used to clean it a bit if you can fit your hand inside the space. I switched to powder as well as liquids made the drum slimy.
Our was the same it was a combination of liquid tabs 30 degree wash and hard water.
I cleaned the tray the gross seal-which was causing the small and two hot washes with vinegar.
Every wash I put soda crystals in the draw which seems to be cleaning it as well as softening the water.
Once a fortnight a hot wash so far so good.
I use half the recommended amount of powder and add about the same amount of soda crystals in every wash. Machine stays really clean. Every couple of months I do a hot wash with just soda crystals in.
You need Dr Beckmann washing machine cleaner - currently 2 in Wilko (normally 3). Just put it in the drum and run a long empty wash at 90.
I tried all the soda crystals, vinegar, bio powder on a hot wash etc but there was a lingering whiff, which suddenly increased in the hot weather. Then I used the Dr Beckmann and it smells completely clean (maybe a slight whiff of dry cleaner shop). Wish I'd used it sooner.
Washing machine is smelling musty. I have tried masses of soda crystals, white vinegar, hot washes, wiped the seals thoroughly, washed the drawer thoroughly and have now put a Dr Beckmann laundry cleaner through it on a hot wash. I keep the door open when it is not in use.
It is STILL smelling musty. But clothes are smelling clean coming out.
What left to do?!
Have you cleaned the trap thing at the bottom? Also I put a tiny bit of bleach in the detergent drawer and in the drum and put it on a 90 degree wash, also spray mould and mildew remover on the inside when you've taken the drawer out.
We just use a washing machine cleaner every 6 months and a descaler every 6 months, alternately. It is a miele and you can buy the stuff online, but it is expensive. It works, but it is irritating that it has to be done - never had this problem before.
I've found that cleaning the filter and draining the washing machine manually, to get rid of the standing water solves the problem. I also clean the drawer and the bit above when you take the drawer out, with a mould and mildew spray and put it on a 90 wash with a WM cleaner or Bio powder.
@666onmyhead Have you looked to see if there is any horse hair visible in the drum? Maybe put washing up gloves on and run your hands around the inside of the drum to see if the hairs stick, or a dry microfibre cloth. Then I'd clean inside the rubber, clean the filter and stick it on a hot wash to make sure. I'm itching thinking about it now!
You might have found a solution now but I put calgon anti-bacterial gel from Tesco in my washes - anti-odour so should stop that horrible musty smell. Plus you can put it in with your wash so very easy and you don't need to run an empty cycle so better for your bills and the environement xx
are you using liquid detergents and washing on low temperatures all the time?
Try switching to a powder and doing regular washes at 60 or above (towels and bedsheets should be washed on 60 anyway) and the problem will go away. Remember also to leave the door open between washes to let the drum dry out.
Oh and doing the above, my machine has stayed lovely and clean despite not being able to leave door open, to air machine, after use (baby who trys to put stuff in, including herself, if I leave the door even slightly open).
I compromise on the powder/liquid thing, too. I use Ariel liquid/gel for colours, which are the majority of washes. I use Sainsburys own brand concentrated powder for whites. You need very little, so you don't get the clogging up problem some powders cause, but it contains bleach, which does a useful job. It also doesn't smell too strong.
Another thing, OP, is to take the drawer out and give it a good scrub. You might also notice the area around the drawer is a bit manky. Go at it with a toothbrush and soda, before doing your boil wash, if that's the case. I find the powdered bicarb better than soda crystals for this sort of job as you can work it into all the nooks and crannies.
I use Dr.Beckmann Service it Deep Clean Washing Machine Cleaner. The damp smell you mention and mildew is the result of doing countless washes and dirt building up over a period of time. This cleaner will definitely get rid of all mildew and damp smells.
After every wash I take out the drawer & let it dry properly & I also shove a tea towel in the gap between the rubber sealants in the door frame to dry it.
Once a month I run a hot (90 degree) wash
Door open as much as possible between washes.
The above has worked for me
Eighty my machine was in an appalling state before I did the above. It was adding dirty marks to washing, stank, was mouldy, you could visably see the thick gunk around seals, etc, as ex had been using double the fabric conditioner. After the above method using soda crystals, boil wash, then vinegar, boil wash it was like new again.
It's just in process of soda crystal boil wash, vinegar boil wash next
I'm bad in the sense that I don't separate my loads, I just whack everything in I use non bio due to dd1 skin allergies plus baby due soon. I do use softner but I will give the vinegar a go.
Thanks all.
