FUNDRAISER DINNER THIS WEEK!
Join us Oct. 14 at 5:30-6:30 pm in the FHUMC Ministry Center for dinner to raise money for God of Compassion Ministries (GOCM). Enjoy spaghetti with meat sauce, salad, green beans, rolls, cookies and cream cake, and sugar-free dessert, all prepared by chef Josh Nowell.
The Haiti team will prepare and serve dinner that evening all for a donation toward the trip. The funds will be used to help pay for food for the community, medicine for the clinic, and Gospels of John in Creole.
The Haiti Mission Team has begun preparations for the November medical trip and we can use your help. We anticipate seeing almost 1,900 adults and 700 children in our two clinics. Our desire is to send every adult home with a small supply of ibuprofen, acetaminophen, and chewable antacids. These medicines that we have such easy access to in America are hard to come by in these remote areas and can make a huge difference in the lives of our patients. But this means we need 38,000 acetaminophen, 37,500 ibuprofen, and 37,500 antacids.
If you are able to contribute, during the next month you can purchase any of these items and leave them in the designated boxes in the Missions Cabinets. Generic or name brand (Tyelol, Advil, Tums) are both fine.
THE PUMPKIN PATCH NEEDS YOU - THIS WEEK and throughout the remainder of October!
