KAIROS DRINKS, COOKIES, ARTWORK DUE TOMORROW

Kairos Prison Ministry at Baldwin State Prison in Milledgeville is preparing for Weekend #11 which will be held November 5th thru 8th.  Forest Hills UMC shares Christ’s love with prayer, with artwork from our children, with homemade cookies, with 2L drinks and financial support.  Ask any of our FHUMC members who serve in Kairos about the impact these expressions of love have on these men in prison:  Conn Fountain, Biren Patel, J. E. Taylor, Tom Adkisson and Lyle Brooks.

Please continue to support this ministry with cookies, artwork, 2L drinks and, most importantly, your prayers.  Cookies need to be packed 6 per package in Ziploc bags.  You can place cookies and drinks at the Mission’s cabinet at the Canopy entrance to be picked up November 4th.

Kids Ministry Mission Project

This fall, our Kids Ministry will be partnering with Macon Outreach to make "Blessings Bags" for the homeless.  These bags are simply gallon-size Zip Lock bags which contain snacks, toiletries, and prayer cards for someone who needs it.  We will be collecting items to go into these bags over the next couple of weeks, and we will have a donation box in the Kids Hall where you can drop off your items.  Our last day for collecting these items will be November 11.  Please contact Kelly Johnson (kellyj...@foresthillsmacon.com) if you have any questions.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

Our efforts for Samaritan’s Purse and Operation Christmas Child are in full swing and you have several opportunities to be part of this life-changing ministry.

First, please begin to pray for the children who will receive shoeboxes, and for all who work to get our shoeboxes distributed throughout the world in over 100 countries.

Second, please consider how many shoeboxes you and your family would like to fill for Samaritan’s Purse, and bring them to the church on or before November 15.

Third, we have space for 20 adults to work together in the Atlanta processing center for 4 hours on Friday, December 4 from 10 AM - 2 PM.  Sign up with Chynna in the office and pay your $5 nonrefundable reservation fee to join us on this mission opportunity. You’ll be blessed by participating in this opportunity!
