This is very helpful, Emily. Thank you!

While we didn’t get a chance to learn details about Anne Street Village, it was great to have the time together with Alderwoman Nash and Clara Jackson, the city’s legislative assistant. We learned more about the process for getting things in front of the mayor and alderpersons, the timelines and best strategies.  Alderwoman Nash offered to provide us with a monthly report to help us stay informed and on top of timelines and opportunities.

Our next task force meeting is September 24 at 6pm at Peace in Christ Church.

Let’s see if we can create a specific plan for a few individual shelter units for this winter, define who would provide support services, and who would accept liability. Sharon’s draft statement of purpose is great and we can add unit model/cost options and service estimates to it?

I’ll check with Sharon to see if we can pull that together before our zoning meeting later this month.

And we will continue to build plan for creating housing on church property.

Progress is slow but sure.

Ann
