spam messages

Did anyone else get spam from some random email address, providing only a link, and explaining that you got it because you were signed up for this group?

Yes, I've seen some spam, too... I'm thinking I'll only allow members to post and send e-mails and read posts. What do you guys think?

Hi everyone,

About the odd spam messages that came, I'm sorry I didn't let you all
know before, but after we got them I banned that user and changed our
group settings to only allow people to be invited and prevent odd
people from joining the group. Let me know if this isn't okay with
anyone, but we shouldn't have that problem in the future.
