Good morning,
in an attempt to merge our setup to use only one license, and to establish
some basic HA for our BeeGFS service (that uses two storage servers, and
used two mgmt servers for two filesystems in the 7.x past), I moved the
storeMgmtdDirectory tree, and modified the beegfs-mgmtd.conf accordingly,
changing the IP address to 10.150.100.9 for the "HA".
(The "real" mgmt machine name is "bee-p", the old place of the mgmtd for
this fs, and the location of the meta and storage targets, is "bee-s",
and "10.150.100.9" should be the new functional location.
Recreating the filsyetem from scratch is not an option. Upgrading right
in the middle of the transition isn't, too.)
Although I created a nodeID file with the new IP, the mgmtd service won't
start:
Feb 16 10:13:01 bee-p systemd[1]: Started beegfs...@home.service - BeeGFS Management Server (multimode).
Feb 16 10:13:01 bee-p beegfs-mgmtd[16338]: Error: NodeID has changed from 'bee-s' to '10.150.100.9'. Shutting down... (File: /beegfs/mgmtd/home.d/originalNodeID)
Feb 16 10:13:01 bee-p beegfs-mgmtd[16338]: [BeeGFS Management Node Version: 7.4.7
How to fix this?
Thanks, S
