Hi,

I'm trying to install beegfs client only on an Ubuntu 20.04 server. I noticed that there isn't a package distribution for focal available, though there is one for bionic.

Is it acceptable to use the bionic repo for my focal installation?

Also, the package list for 7.2.3 bionic appears to be empty: https://www.beegfs.io/release/beegfs_7.2.3/dists/bionic/non-free/binary-amd64/Packages. Is that intentional?

Cheers

Hi,

I had asked a similar question last time during the Stammtisch, and received
the advice to use Buster packages for Bullseye servers, they "should just work".
The client would *not* work with the default kernel though, and building for
Bullseye isn't supported yet (and the same will supposedly hold for Focal).

Perhaps not. You could follow the instructions to build the packages yourself...

Steffen
