Hello,

I'm trying to set up beegfs/beeond on a bunch of diskless compute nodes, so I'd like to use tmpfs as underlying storage.

Unfortunately beegfs-meta fails to start, complaining about:
(0) 10:32:19 Main [Directory (store initial metadata file)] >> Unable to store directory xattr metadata: inodes/38/51/root. Did you enable extended attributes (user_xattr) on the underlying file system?
(0) 10:32:19 Main [App] >> Failed to store root directory. Unable to proceed.
(0) 10:32:19 Main [App] >> Failed to store root directory

I already tried to disable EAs in beegfs-meta.conf:
storeUseExtendedAttribs      = false

but that didn't help.

any ideas?

regards,
  Stephan

Update:
For whatever reason the beeond command does not read the config file. If I add "-f /etc/beegfs" it works.
