Hi

I was wondering whether there's an official document that outlines the support and lifecycle plan for BeeGFS 7 and 8, including which Linux distributions (and kernel versions) are supported.
Right now, BeeGFS 7 seems effectively invisible on the website and it also looks like client build/testing for current distro releases has stopped.

Thanks!

Steve, I'm wondering too. Did you receive some off-list answer?

Hello,

The BeeGFS support lifecycle is documented at https://github.com/ThinkParQ/beegfs/blob/master/SUPPORT.md#support-lifecycle-and-policies. Supported distributions / kernel versions are always documented in the release notes for a particular version (e.g., https://doc.beegfs.io/7.4.7/release_notes.html).

Thanks,

~Joe

Perfect, thanks!
As BeeGFS 7 is currently in "best effort" mode in supporting updated distributions/kernels I think the best would be upgrading to version 8 quite soon.

Thanks!
