[FHCA Board]

Thanks to all who turned out for the annual FHCA BBQ and especially all who helped. A big thank you to Jane Beal, Gail Newell, Robbie and Lou at Pioneer, Michael at Le Dock, Anita Rich and her family for her  100th birthday cake baked by Patrick, to Howie, John and Ed for the tunes, and to John Riley and FHFD. 

Tuesday: Rosh Hashanah services at 10:30 at the firehouse.  Thanks in advance to Sam and Maureen Mann, Maxine Hayden, Howie Tichler and Mark Gould, among others, for organizing and performing. 

Friday: if you’re heading to the beach on Friday, be aware that the Ryder Cup Golf Match is being played at Bethpage and there may be road closures and traffic issues with an expected presidential visit that day. 

Saturday: Great South Bay run will run its course down Maple Avenue, with a half marathon starting at 7:30am. Check www.thegreatsouthbayrun.com for route and timing. It may impact traffic to the ferry. 

Saturday is also garbage day, 8am to noon, at the dock. Household items and brush only. No construction materials.
