While we’re dodging a direct hit from Hurricane Erin, we will have significant wind and waves tomorrow and Thursday. Know that the ocean is closed if you see crossed red flags. And please don’t swim when lifeguards are not on duty. Enjoy the bay beach at this time. Please communicate this to your renters and guests.
SING-ALONG: Tuesday, Aug. 19, 7-8pm at the end of the dock
WED. AT THE FIREHOUSE: Fitness 11:00, Adult Games 1:00, Kids Art 3:30, Kids Movie 6:30. RSVP here for games and art.
JAWS 50th: Fri. 8/22 at the bay beach at 8:15. The movie is PG-13 and this is not intended as a kids movie. If you don’t want your child to watch, please keep them away from the bay beach/playground that night. (Note the correct date, 8/22, here.)
BOOK BOXES: We have a few around town, specifically on Cranberry near the bay and on Central near Keough. Please note that these boxes are to pass along good, interesting books. Please don’t dump outdated tech manuals or torn, dirty books there. Please put those in your own garbage.
TRASH PICKING: If you’re giving away something, please list it on Fair Harbor Goods and Services on Facebook. Or put it by your garbage. If you place it on Central, please note that most corners are private property and you should remove your item by dusk if no one has taken it.
DOGS: Please keep your dogs on a leash, especially if the beach is crowded. And please take your poop bags to your own homes. Do not put them in someone else's garbage can along the way.
