Jen has more than 15 years of experience. She has worked on farms in West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and as far away as Scotland and New Zealand.

 

Jen and her husband currently own and operate Blackberry Meadows Farm, an 85-acre farm in Allegheny County on which they operate a diversified vegetable operation. Organically-certified vegetables are marketed through a 150-member CSA and sold at two Pittsburgh farmers markets.

 

During this Farminar, Jen will describe the farm at Blackberry Meadows and discuss the Heritage Seed Initiative they have launched. She will talk about seed-saving, packaging and marketing.
