"The University of Maryland Extension’s Agricultural Marketing Program
has received grant funding from the Northeast Center for Risk
Management (NECRME) to assist farm-raised meat producers in Maryland
to expand their farm-to-table marketing efforts. This project will
provide a total overview of the farm-to-table marketing model from
birth to sales through a series of workshops, tours, and one-on-one
marketing plan consultations. Although many producers also raise
poultry, these sales require an entirely different set of regulations
and outlets and will not be included in this project.
In approximately one week you will [have access to] receive a survey
designed to gather baseline information about production and sales of
farm-raised cattle, calves, swine, sheep, and goats in Maryland. The
survey will only take less than 10 minutes to complete.
