Path to the 2012 Farm Bill: House Hearing on Commodity and Crop Insurance Subsidies
The House Agriculture Subcommittee on General Farm Commodities and Risk Management held a series of farm bill hearings this week to examine commodity and crop insurance programs in advance of writing their version of what will hopefully become the 2012 Farm Bill. The full House Agriculture Committee expects to mark up and vote on a new farm bill sometime in June, likely the second half of June. Read more...

2011 Fall Policy Intern Position
NSAC is currently accepting applications for a fall internship. This is a temporary, full-time (40 hours per week) position located in NSAC’s office on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. Hours are between 9 am and 5:30 pm Monday through Friday. Start and end dates are somewhat flexible, and could begin the end of August or beginning of September and continue into December.
