Desired Skills & Experience
- Must have excellent hands-on experience (2-5 years) in Java, Python or Ruby.
- Good understanding of Object Oriented Design principles, MVC architecture, web-services, RESTFul APIs and design patterns.
- Hands-on experience on Linux/Unix development environments is a must.
- Experience in architecting highly scalable multi-tier web applications using cloud technologies and platforms like Amazon Web Services will be a huge plus.
- Experience with unit testing frameworks.
- Experience in using databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL is desired.
- Excellent knowledge of version control systems like GIT, SVN.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

- Architectural design and application development using cutting-edge frameworks, libraries & components along with latest cloud computing technologies including Amazon Web Services and OpenStack.
- Work with other architects to define the application and technical architecture structure to ensure that the products and components work together to meet the objectives and performance goals as defined in the requirements.
- Adherence to latest development methods like Agile, TDD, BDD, peer code reviews, continuous deployment & integration.
- Pro-actively look for ways to make the architecture, code and operations better.
- Work with the world's most well-known and respected software developers, systems architects and operations engineers.
- Mentoring and technical growth of junior members of the team
Desired Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong experience in Java/J2EE.
- Expertise in any web frameworks like Spring, Google Web Toolkit, Struts is desired.
- Extensive usage of Linux / Unix environment.
- Understanding of MVC architecture, Web services - REST / SOAP, web-frameworks, SOA.
- Experience architecting complex applications on various platforms. Ability to author product specs and designs.
- Ability to define & scope customer problems and provide optimum solutions covering architecture, software stack, feasibility etc.
- Ensure that engineers are not blocked on technology issues. Be a decision-maker- take (right) calls on technology decisions.
- Proven ability to mentor, train and provide technical guidance to the product engineering team.
- Experience working with relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL. Understanding and exposure to NoSQL databases would be a huge plus.
- Exposure to DevOps tools like Chef, Puppet etc would be a huge plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong inter-personal skills.
