Good afternoon!
Volunteers, I have been thinking about you all so much the past few days. The world seems topsy-turvy, but I hope that you have been able to find moments of joy. I have loved seeing stories of how people are pouring out love in so many new ways.
I wanted to share a couple of resources that might be beneficial for you.
First, I wanted to make you all aware of an upcoming online training. On Tuesday, March 24th at 4pm, we will host “Hosting a Troop Meeting via Zoom.” This training is to help troop leaders understand how to set up troop meetings (or SU meetings!) using Zoom as well as providing some programming ideas for meetings. We will record the training for anyone who might not be able to attend so they can view later. The link to join is https://zoom.us/j/985157644
Second, GSUSA put out a wonderful article “Supporting Your Troop When You Can’t Meet In Person.” https://www.girlscouts.org/en/adults/volunteer/tips-for-troopleaders/programming/supporting-your-troop-when-you-cant-meet-in-person.html?fbclid=IwAR1UpTCRLieJZkZN8CJw-RnWtUEgeSQ7AOhh2IX_sHFnDMvK-VfyYx0GZfs#troopleaders
While we move into the virtual world a bit more each day, we do realize there are troops and families that might not have access to internet. We have not forgotten and are diligently trying to find ways to be inclusive in that regard. We would love to hear any feedback/ideas you might have.
I appreciate each and everyone of you so very much! Feel free to pass this on to troop leaders in your areas.
Hope the sun finds it way to you today.
All the best,
Beth
