Power and Grace - Portrait of a Master: T.K. Chiba

This beautifully crafted digital product is a collaboration between BNA and Aikido Journal. In the making for over a year, Power and Grace was officially released in May. It's affordably priced at $79.

Once purchased you can access the content via your web browser or through the Kajabi app. Video content was carefully selected and curated so that you may trace Chiba Sensei's evolution over time. For example in one module, Sensei's demonstrations of shihonage across decades are carefully assembled for ease of comparison and study. Written copy was meticulously proofread and audio transcribed with the help of our own BNA shihan.  It is structured as an online course with 23 modules and it includes over 3.5 hours of video.

If you have not yet purchased the "course," please click through our own BNA store "Living Well Aikido Store." The product is featured prominently on the home page: https://www.livingwellaikidostore.com/

BNA Social Media Team

Hello from the social media team. We’ve been enjoying highlighting instructors and boosting dojo posts on the BNA Facebook and Instagram feeds. The hope is to help new members become more familiar with our organization and to help ongoing members remember that their community at large is still out there practicing hard. Between instructor and dojo posts, we’ve been focusing a lot on promoting the new course  "Power and Grace - T.K. Chiba Portrait of a Master."

Tag you're it! We’re hoping for more participation in hash tagging (#birankaina) and tagging (@birankaina) our Facebook page. Including "@birankaina" in your own dojo's posts will link to our page and give us the chance to repost your media, effectively sharing it with the broader community.  By adding a,"#birankaina" hashtag to your posts, we increase visibility online, so please consider tagging us on social media posts.

The BNA Social Media Team strives to nurture connection among Birankai North America dojos and among individual members all across our global community. We post regularly to

In the last newsletter we erroneously identified Desert Aikikai's location as Phoenix AZ.
In fact, Desert Aikikai is located in Mesa Arizona. We apologize for the error.

Thank you!
