I've noticed a problem when attempting to encode any Apple ProRes
files on Mac 10.7 Lion. Mac 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) and 10.5 (Leopard)
produce good results. I've been using the FFMBC to transcode Apple
ProRes files since the 0.7-rc4 release and have not had any problems
with Snow Leopard or Leopard. Once I tried the exact same file and
command line on a Lion machine, the error occurs. I've since upgraded
to the RC7 release and the error is still there.

Error:

(2012-05-02 15:13:46,294) - ffmbc_intel64(4435) malloc: *** error for
object 0x100f01f60: pointer being freed was not allocated
(2012-05-02 15:13:46,294) - *** set a breakpoint in malloc_error_break
to debug
- Return code = 134

Thanks,

Joe

Sorry for not answering sooner. The error cleared when I used a 32
bit version of the RC7 binary instead of the 64 bit. I'm guessing my
64 bit build was incorrectly compiled and I'm satisfied in using the
32 bit version which works fine on Lion and older versions of the Mac
OS.

Thanks,

Joe
