Good Day all! It's Martin Luther King Jr. Day here today, which means
a school holiday and the children at home with me. Consequently, I
don't think I'll be getting much writing done. ;-)

I've been motivated by the challenge so far, however it seems there
have been blows to my productivity at every turn. Last week my
personal laptop went down and had to be sent away for repairs. This
left me sharing one computer with my gaming husband. (Insert one of
those eye-rolling emoticons!) Then two days ago he informed me that
he planned on taking our laptop away with him this week when he left
to go out of town. Needless to say I was a little.. um, upset??? I
didn't think I made too much of a fuss over it considering how
disappointed I was inside, but I must have been a bit of a brat
because after I packed it up, put in the laptop bag, and even carried
it to the car for him, I found it sitting in the garage this morning
when I left to run to Starbucks. I'm grateful that he left it, but
confused and now chagrined for making a fuss.

So... that was my week in summary. Still I managed to finish one
item on my list so hooray!!

How is everybody else doing?

(PS- To any of our Australian sisters/brothers, you are in our
thoughts and prayers. Also, if anyone here hasn't heard yet, a group
of Australian FF writers have put together a Fandom Gives Back effort
to support their countryman devastated by the horrific flooding in
Queensland. They are currently recruiting writers for the
collaboration, so if you think one of your plot-bunnies might be a
worthy contribution, you can find more info at: http://fandomsfightthefloods.blogspot.com/

I'm glad you were able to finish some list items despite your lack of
computer time. Congrats on that!

I wasn't very productive until yesterday. I wrote 1597 words on my FaDV
piece (no rush! lol) and I'm feeling good about how I'll progress today.

I only got 167 more words on the piece I was writing for Twisted Tales,
and missed the deadline. I am going to keep writing it and use it for a
different contest though.

I'm hoping to be a little more focused this week, and that my muse is
back. Last week was barren and I was super flighty.

I did finish editing chapter four of Little Red Riding Hood, even made
two teaser deadlines. They're headed to beta right after I submit this
response. Yay! My goals this week are finishing this one shot, then
starting and completing the next chapter of Bloody Choices.

I also need to get my Flood Assistance compilation done, but I have to
pick a fic from my list and it's not been coming to me.

I hope everyone else is doing well!

I wrote more last week than I had in probably 2 months. Who
knew!?!?!?!

I've always done better with deadlines and somebody holding me
accountable, so this has done wonders for my mojo. I completely
outlined a o/s for a contest this morning and I'm hoping to start
writing it tonight...just as a break from my multi-chapter fics.

My goal this week is to get a good chunk of that o/s done, if not all
and start on the next chapter of ABM. We only have 3 more chapters to
go to wrap that one up, then I can focus completely on TBoLaH. I'm
definitely a one-story-at-a-time girl.

Great week ladies!!!

I've done better than I expected to!  I got a good chunk of my current contest entry figured out, found what I wanted to use for FoxyFics, and fixed a ton of the structural weirdness for my FADV story.  Today, I had a completely random plot bunny attack me while I was doing the dishes, and I think I can use it for Mac's birthday.  WOOT.

I'm starting to want to finish my older stories too, especially In Vein.  It feels like I'm almost ready to streamline Jacob again, which makes me wiggly with excitement.  It would ROCK if I could get it done for Amber's birthday.  I would LOVE to give that to her, after all the gorgeous banners she's made for me...  We'll see.

The boys go back to school tomorrow, and I'm determined to fit in ALL THE THINGS this week, sleep be damned.

Happy MLK day, and please know we're keeping everyone affected my the floods in our thoughts.

xoxo,
Hanna

It's funny you say that. I've learned in the past months that I can
juggle one multi fic and a bunch of one shots as nice breaks from the
multi characters, but two multi chap fics and I crumble under the pressure.

If I didn't have readers who already thought I was abandoning BC, I
would just finish LRRH and then devote myself to BC.

Good luck on your goals!

I'm really happy to see that this is helping. The pressure to keep up,
not the deadline, will help me. I'm not necessarily competitive, but I
like to be able to hold my own amongst my peers, if that makes sense.

My characters were all fighting for dominance in my head and it was
hard to keep them from jumping into other stories. Could you imagine
Prisonella taking control of Edward in Memories? I know, I know he's
more than a little young for her so I have to keep them separated at
all times cuz she's already in enough trouble. Oh I know, I need to
hook Prisonella up with Emmett since he's found his way into jail and
Rose is hating him right now. The conjugal trailer would be rockin.
Lol.
But seriously, the week was good for me. I got the kick in the but I
needed to finish the LITB chapter and Memories just went in a totally
different direction than I planned it but it still turned out good.
FTFE is in progress but since it's so short, it keeps getting pushed
to the side for the longer chapters but I did get chapter 2 and half
of 3 done. I got the storyline down and a really good start on chapter
1 of the new story and I'm excited to keep it going. Which actually
brings up a question, we are only updating the tracking sheet with
completed chapters right?? I'm sure it's been answered before but I
just forgot.
My goals for this week are to write chapter 9 for LITB and to finally
get back into The Accused. I have to get poor Emmett out of the mess
he's in. I'm hoping to write a couple of chapters for that one this
week to give myself a boost to get that one going.
Well, I'm off to get that started. Happy writing ladies.

I'm doing SO good, considering the week I had. Monday and Tuesday I
was busy after work and couldn't write, Wednesday, I couldn't seem to
get my creative juices flowing but in the last few days saw the FADV
futuretake completed and the first 1/3-1/2 of Taking the Fork! But
then yesterday I was hit with a hard loss...my phone died suddenly and
insurance is out of stock on the blackberry, so I have to wait for
them to get it in...but the light at the end of my tunnel is that
Sunday starts my vacation and its 5 days alone to write and hopefully
click the complete button on one of my stories...*fingers crossed*

Okay, off to write, but you'll be hearing from me soon, and congrats
on all the great work~

I've had a crazy creative week. I went through a short dry spell and
then Wednesday through Saturday it was like the floodgates opened.
Unfortunately they've closed again, but actually keeping track of my
total word count shocked the heck out of me. Thanks for he
encouragement, ladies! I wrapped one story and am within a couple of
chapters of wrapping the other. Not sure my EPOV outake of Return of
the King is going to work though. It tried and tried yesterday, but
it fell really flat. I'm thinking I'd rather leave it a mystery than
have it be less than great... I'm thinking I'll try to tie parts of
it into the epi instead. It might work better that way.

I did pretty well this week. My goal was to write a page a day. Some
days were more, some days I had nothing, but it averaged out to about
a page a day. Hubs is getting a little whiny about my writing every
night after the kids go to bed instead of spending time with him, so I
called a babysitter Friday night and we had a lovely dinner out! That
was worth missing a night of writing. I just have so much trouble
making time, and I'm worried it'll only get worse when my maternity
leave is done next month and I'm back to work. But I have a plan - I
am going to brown bag it and hide at lunchtime with my laptop
everyday. Maybe I'll even get more writing done, since I wont' have
to kids to interrupt!

I'd really love to hear how all the moms out there make time for their
writing without making their husbands feel neglected!
