Hello everyone!

To sign up for the challenge, you can either email the challenge
group, or reply to this thread. What is needed is your penname and
links to your various profiles as well as a list with all of your
WIP's and bunnies and the last completed chapter or, if a new idea
that hasn't been started yet, then just right 'new idea.' If the idea
has chapters written, but not yet posted, still give us the chapter
number you last completed and we will list it as not yet posted.

All future chapters for not yet posted stories do not have to be
posted to be counted, but a gdoc of the chapter must be sent to us.
If you have any stories that fall under that category, we will give
you the information on who to share the document with at that time so
that only challenge admins will be able to see it.

Once we receive it, it will be added to the challenge spreadsheet and
you will be added as a contributor. This is something you need a
gmail account for, its easier for you to make the changes to your
personal info, then for us to have to go through and make the changes
to each person participating. Your progress should be entered by the
first day of the next week, so that we are able to verify it. You may
enter it as you complete chapters, or once at the end of each week,
whichever is easier for you, but for it to count for a particular
week, it must either be posted or a gdoc sent to us by the weeks end.
If you use a beta or a service like PTB that takes a while to get
chapters back to post, you may also submit a gdoc to have it counted
to that weeks total.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask us by replying to
this thread.

Hello FoiPur,

If that is the only story and idea you have floating around then yes, you've done it correctly, you will also receive an email closer to the start of this challenge at this gmail account granting you access to the spreadsheet so you can track your weekly on it, but that will be explained later.  Thank you for signing up, and if you get hit by any plot bunnies before the 10th and would like to add them to the challenge, let me know as that is the last day an idea can be added for the challenge.

Happy Writing!

I've only got one WIP right now (it's been languishing). The latest
chapter is here: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5979962/4/A_Federation_of_Cassandras

Hope I've done this right...

To send an email to the group, I believe you have to join it, so
please click the link to the right and sign into your google account
to join in, then submit the info. Thanks to Rosalynn, for pointing
out this difficulty so we could figure it out sooner rather than
later.

So, as I understand it, chapters will be counted as complete even if
they are not (or can not be) beta'd by week's end??

Also, is submitting a Gdoc more secure than emailing a document to
someone? I'm not familiar enough with Google Documents to know if we
can protect our information that way. Is it possible to share a doc
without allowing anyone to make changes to it once it's shared?? I
mean no offense to anyone here, but as we all know plagiarism is a
huge problem on the web.

2nd Question (also posted on blog page):

Is there an email address we can send our info to that will NOT post
on the discussion boards???

In case you didn't realize it, when I emailed you this morning, that
email posted straight to the group's discussion page. I deleted it as
soon as I realized what had happened because I really don't want my
info and WIPs made entirely public. I don't mind sharing with the
group admins and those that join the challenge, but since the group is
public at present time, anyone anywhere can see our posts and our
projects.

Thanks for looking into this issue. :) Ginnie

You decide who sees your gdocs, and a person must have been assigned
as "can edit" to be able to change the doc. My understanding also, is
that as long as you do not make your document public, it can only be
shared by you.

I've set up an independent gmail account, not connected to this group
at all. You can send your list here: ffnewyear...@gmail.com

We've had so many issues with the group email!

I'm really sorry for the annoyance. Hopefully this new email address
solves any bouncing or privacy issues we were having!
