Outline of season

19 game weeks ending on 26th December. 

Draft windows.

After game weeks 4 8 12 16 

Drops on Thursdays and picks on Fridays in the days leading up to games weeks. 

Transfer penalties. 

For those not familiar with the site you have one free transfer per week. Any more than this will be a 4 point deduction per transfer. Therefore you will be penalised 0 points for 1 transfer, 4 points for 2 transfers and 8 points for 3 transfers. 

You will still need to stick to rules regarding amount of players per club and budgets.

Just to add to the wisdom there:

 

-       If we end on 26^th December does that mean we cant really have a league after xmas (although Im sure there is some way of working it out)

-       If you don’t use your transfers do they not build up/carry over (Im not sure if there is a limit to this). Plus there is the wildcard for unlimited transfers.

New draft and use wildcard at Christmas. 

There is no build up of transfers unfortunately and as one mans drop could be another mans pick it needs to be done  in one swoop.

Don't think the idea of just using a wild card at Xmas will work for new league in the new year as the team values will be different. This difference could be as much as 10 million  from top to bottom of league. That's a Rooney or two gareth barrys.

For after Xmas new teams will need to be set up to start off on a level playing field of 100 million each.

In relation to site transfers they do accumulate to a maximum of 2. So you could swap 2 players for free provided they are in exactly the same position. However if u want to change your formation you will need to make additional transfers of duds to compensate. So to change 3 players it could cost -8 points. This deduction will be taken of your next head to head score. 

In order to counter this and given the need to restart at Xmas anyway it would be best to allow the use of your wildcard in the draft window that you choose. If your only swapping one or two players keep it in your pocket but if your swapping 3 players and changing formation use it. Everyone will still only get one wild card between now and Xmas anyway.

I didn't realise you can swop 2 for free. That's a new one so happy days. 

However I do think keeping the wildcard till Christmas is a better option than everyone having to set up new teams. It's very unlikely team values will drop much over time. The duds don't loose value and first 11s shouldn't either. All we would have to do is set up a new league using the same teams.  Again if for whatever reason someone does go over budget and can't complete their team then they can drop any player and replace with a free agent to make it legal. Still seems unlikely to be a big concern. 

Solo don't complicate what is already complicated.

Also 2 wildcards one anytime and one around Christmas cant remember dates...

2 transfers if ya don't make a transfer over 2 game weeks...any transfers after that are -4 each.....

It's not just about team values dropping but also rising. Look at the difference in value between your team and bish's of 1m after only three games.  Once again you are wrong. Values can rise and fall significantly.
