Hi Leeor,
Thank you for ff-activex-host plugin. It is my life-saver for one of my project.
My activex is working fine with your precompiled ffactivex-setup-r39.exe on Firefox v.24 on Windows XP,7 & 8.
I am facing a strange problem and appreciate your help in this.

my activex cab is a DICOM viewer, which will be download exe/dlls  to the client machine C:/ drive and  invoked.

But it is not working in some windows XP systems and firebug is showing error in activex methods. Any idea to trouble shoot this ( whether it because of proxy settings/antivirus firewall etc)

Thanks,
Prabhath

This probably means the ActiveX you're trying to load is not installed. Have you tried to verify that it is registered?

Dear Leeor,
Thank you for the reply. Yes, you're correct. ActiveX was not registered in the systems which the plugin is not working. And the system where plugin is working was earlier using IE ActiveX and thus registry entries were already available

Does it mean  I cannot use the pre-compiled plugin and that I have to compile the plugin to facilitate registering the ActiveX ? or Do I have to re-compile my ActiveX Control?

Prabhath

No, it means that you need to download and register your ActiveX on those machines. The plugin has support for doing that on your behalf, you need to provide a URL to download the ActiveX's cab from. To do that, add the 'codeBaseUrl' attribute to the object's tag.

Leeor.
