Auto-installation of axhost.r39.xpi

I am able to execute my existing activex controls using ff-activex-host plugin.
This was possible only after installed ffactivex-setup-r39.exe manually. But I tried installing axhost.r39.xpi manually, but it is displaying under Extensions not under Plugins.
Any way, I would like to know, if the client browser does not have ff-activex-host plugin, is it possible to be installed automatically from a local repository where I am keeping the cab files.
I tried following option but not working..
codeBaseURL="../../../activex/axhost.r39.xpi"
param_src="../../../activex/invokeviewer.cab#version=2.0"
