The Siemens 14FUF32A* is a 3-phase non-reversing motor starter with an ESP200 13-52 Amp overload relay. This NEMA Size 2 starter can start 3 -phase motors up to 25 HP on 460 VAC or up to 15 HP on 230 VAC. The '*' in the part number above is replaced by the letter representing the coil voltage from the coil voltage selection above.
NOTE: We can swap out the coil for the desired coil voltage you select. So even if the item shows out of stock, we can usually swap the coil and ship the starter with the correct coil in it. Contact us if you wish to verify availability.

On its own, a contactor is merely a switch device that allows a motor to turn on or off. However, the combination of a contactor (1) and an overload relay (3) creates a motor starter, which combines the functionality of the contactor (switching) and the overload relay (overcurrent protection to the motor) in one single device.
A combination starter uses a motor starter protector (MSP) (4) instead of an overload relay, for additional levels of overcurrent and short-circuit protection. Each motor starter protector will come with a separate connector (5) that attaches the device to a contactor without any additional configuration required. Note: components are only physically compatible with other components of the same series.
