Our group has a Honda EG2800i generator which runs at 2500 watts, starting 2800 watts which is enough to charge both batteries at once. 2500 watts at 120 volts is about 21 amps. The batteries, I believe, require up to about 18.6 amps to charge together. I usually charge at a 20 amp circuit with no problems but have the generator just in case. The generator weighs 67 lbs. Will run more than 8 hours at 1/2 charge rate so about 4 hours at full amperage. Almost always the batteries can be charged in less than 4 hours unless they are close to the lower limit. We paid slightly more than $1,000 new, mail order. You can find a listing on the Lowe’s website. Lynn Wyman, ESoaring LLC
