Curious:  Has any development resulted in boosting the Energy Capacity (currently 2,1kWh) for the Gen2 14S Battery?  This would be an improvement to the existing battery not an increase in the battery size as dimensions are constrained in some aircraft (e.g., Silent 2 Electro).   Luka, Leo-  Is a modification or update in process or perhaps available?  Much thanks-   Dan Thirkill

I have the 16S batteries and revised controller in my LAK Mini.  The technical data from the manual is listed below.  Max RPM is increased to 5300 and my understanding is that HP output is increased to 40.  Luka will hopefully provide more detailed information.

2.1 Technical data:
FES Battery pack GEN2 16S 40Ah
Weight of single battery pack 17,6 kg
Box dimensions (WxLxH), without terminals and ventilators 174 x 220 x 260mm
Cells producer Kokam, South Korea
Electrochemical system NMC (LiMnNiCoO2)
Cells type SLPB100216216H
Average capacity of each cell 40 Ah
Number of cells 16
Energy storage capacity 2,4 kWh
Maximum total voltage 66,6 V
Minimum total voltage 51 V
Maximum current 250 A
Max balancing current per cell 1 A
Internal BMS type FES-BMS-1Q
Standard 600W small charger FES KOP602E
Optional 1200W bigger charger FES KOP1001E

Steve,
Thank you for your response.  Unfortunately, the battery size of the 16S 40Ah version is larger than the 14S (154 X 220 X 257).  154mm is the width measurement and some rather substantial modifications would need to be made to the compartment to accommodate 174mm.   If the adjustments had been made to the height or length of the 16S, it might have fit, but that is not the case-, likely design constraints by the battery manufacturer.  So, my hope is that advances in battery technology will permit greater power using the current size.  I agree with your summary and I'm hoping Luka or others can comment on this or other possibilities.
